"The Swampwalker" or "Spiderhut" (Name depends on what region you spot them in). Found wandering the swamplands south of the City of Gateway but also in the district of Swamptown itself. Spiderhuts are often considered a bad omen when seen alone, perhaps a remnant of their origin story - spiderhuts are said to have been created as part of a curse placed on a small village in the South that refused to pay homage to a powerful Wizard-Baron. Though they CAN be spotted alone, they typically travel in small packs called villages and tend to shy away from people. Many residents of Swamptown consider them to be nuisances, since they tend to eat other wooden structures: bridges, walkways, sign posts, etc., prompting a community-watch group to organize a mass extermination by hiring a band of pest-control wizards. This had the very unfortunate result of setting several residential blocks in Swamptown on fire. Since then, the City of Gateway has made it illegal to hunt spiderhuts using magic, but apparently axes are still OK.
